Mumbai: Following Ranveer Singh’s exit from ‘Don 3’, the makers are apparently in talks with Hrithik Roshan to play the lead role in the third instalment of the iconic franchise.
A source close to the filmmakers said that Farhan Akhtar’s team is keen to rope in Hrithik as Don.
“Following Ranveer’s exit, Hrithik has emerged as a strong contender for the role. While discussions are still at a very early stage, it will be interesting to see whether Hrithik ultimately comes on board,” the source was quoted as saying by Filmfare.
After Ranveer’s exit, the makers want an established star to play the lead character.
Ranveer, currently basking in the success of spy-thriller ‘Dhurandhar’, will next be shooting for Jai Mehta’s zombie film ‘Pralay’.
Hrithik, on the other hand, was last seen alongside Jr NTR in the high-octane action drama ‘War 2’. The film received mixed reviews and turned out to be a dud at the box office.
