Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre on Monday warned of heavy rainfall and thunderstorm over several districts of Odisha till January 15.
Under the influence of mid and upper tropospheric Westerlies and interaction with low level easterlies and also moisture incursion from Bay of Bengal light to moderate rainfall activity is very likely to occur at many places, till January 14 over the following districts, stated a release by the Met Centre.
Under the influence of above systems, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is very likely over Odisha. “Isolated heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning/hail is very likely over Odisha on January 11 and 13,” the Met Centre stated.
‘Yellow Warning’ has been issued for the next 4 days. The forecast till 8.30 am of January 12 is: Thunderstorm with lightening and hail very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Angul, Kalahandi, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal and Sambalpur.
Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh Boudh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Balangir and Sonepur.
January 12-13
Thunderstorm with lightening very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Kurda, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati,
Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Kandhamal.

Thunderstorm with lightening and hail very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Balangir, Angul, Dhenkanal,
