Pune: A case has been registered against a person who threatened a bomb blast in the country and the assassination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to Maharashtra Police, one MA Mokheem posted a comment on a religious website – run by Pune district resident Rahul Dudhane — pertaining to facts about Hinduism.
The comment, posted on August 6, stated: “I am planning a serious bomb blast in India. I will be funding terrorist organisations. I intend to destroy the Hindu religion and assassinate Narendra Modi as well.”
On August 6, Dudhane went to a private hospital for his son’s treatment, and came across the comment while checking his website, informed a police official.
Dudhane immediately informed police control room, and a case was lodged against Mokheem at Alankar police station under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code.
“We have already registered a case and are currently conducting an investigation. The IP address appears to be located outside India, and we are looking into the matter,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Suhail Sharma.
The accused is on the run, and authorities are leaving no stone unturned to nab him.
