Bhubaneswar: Odisha government is going to take a decision on changing the uniform of the students of the high schools run by it soon.
Nityananda Gond, Minister of School and Mass Education (S&ME) on Saturday said the proposal to change the uniform of the high school students was in discussion stage.
Stating that the previous government had effected a change in the colour of the uniform of high school students in the state, he said, “We are holding discussion with stakeholders and will take a decision soon.”
However, the minister said his department has decided that the uniform of elementary school students will remain unchanged.
“The students of elementary schools will continue to wear white shirt and blue pant as their uniform. The Department has already taken a decision in this regard,” he added.
