Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan could soon have a new address.
The actor has reportedly received approval to build a six-storeyed luxury residence in Mumbai’s Bandra, sparking speculation that he may move out of Galaxy Apartments after decades.
There has been no confirmation from Salman or his family about whether they plan to leave Galaxy Apartments anytime soon.
The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) approved the proposed sea-facing residential project on June 16.
The six-storeyed building will be constructed in Bandra’s Chimbai area, just a short distance from Salman’s current residence, Galaxy Apartments.
According to MCZMA sources, the plot is registered in the name of Salman’s mother, Salma Khan.
The site previously housed a two-storeyed home that had existed since
before 1956, but was later demolished after being declared structurally unsafe.
The approved project, which is to be developed by Sach Developers, includes a ground floor, stilt parking, and six upper floors, with a total built-up area of approximately 1,014 square metres.
The project had received the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Intimation of Disapproval (IOD), a key preliminary necessity, in October 2025.
With the MCZMA now granting its clearance, the proposed plan has taken a significant step towards construction phase.
The approval is subject to several environmental conditions.
According to the clearance, no existing trees on the property can be felled during construction.
Instead, the developer will be required to plant native tree species around the site as part of the project’s environmental safeguards, in line with coastal zone regulations.
On the work front, Salman is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming project ‘Maatrubhumi’.
The actor is also busy shooting for Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju’s action entertainer, tentatively titled as SVC63, alongside Nayanthara.
Speaking on the Raw Talks With VK podcast, Dil Raju revealed that Salman will be appearing in multiple looks in the film.
“The film shoot will be done by October. It’s a massive film. We are expecting a big blockbuster. Salman is enjoying on the sets, he will have different looks. The film will have lots of heroism and wow factor,” Raju said.
