Bhubaneswar: Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro on Wednesday informed that the winter session of the Odisha Assembly will be held before December 31.
“The State Legislative Assembly sits for a minimum of 60 days in a calendar year. The third and fourth sessions of the House had a total of 20 working days. The Assembly will sit for remaining 40 days before December 31,” he added.
Patro further said that a calendar for 40 days will be prepared once the schedule of the session is decided by the governor.
The monsoon session of the assembly was adjourned sine die on October 6, a day ahead of the schedule.
