Bhubaneswar: The winter session of the Odisha Assembly scheduled to commence from November 20, will be conducted amid COVID-19 guidelines.
Informing the mediapersons on Tuesday, Speaker of the State Assembly Surjya Narayan Patro said that special arrangements have been made for COVID-19 test.
He said all the MLAs and their personal secretaries assistants, all employees of the Assembly Secretariat and the reporters covering the House business will undergo the test for three days on November 17, 18 and 19. The reporters will be provided with masks and sanitizers.
Stating that there will be a second phase COVID test during the Assembly session, Patro said the entire premises will be thoroughly sanitized every day.
The Speaker also said that the MLAs can also participate in the business of the Assembly through video conferencing.
To a question on whether there will be a question-hour session, he said there has been no discussion on this manner.
