Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre’s rain forecast for the next three days had the Odisha government on Wednesday direct the district collectors to take immediate steps to save the harvested paddy.
Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur and Deogarh districts till 10.15 on Wednesday, according to the latest weather bulletin.

Besides, yellow warning has also been issued for Kalahandi, Balangir, Kandhamal, Balangir, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj during this period.
On the other hand, the mercury recorded a marginal rise at most places in Odisha on Wednesday. Only four places recorded temperature of 10 degrees or below. Daringbadi was the coldest at 9 degree Celsius, followed by Titlagarh (9.6), Sonepur (9.8) and Angul (10 deg C). The temperature in twin cities, however, saw a drop with Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recording 13.4 degree Celsius and 12 degree Celsius respectively.
