Sambalpur: A woman along with five others was arrested for running a sex racket in Sambalpur on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house owned by the woman at Dhanupali in the city and rescued three young women. They belong to Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh districts.
Several incriminating items were seized from the house during the raid. Police said the woman has been running the flesh trade in the house for over one year. Five two-wheelers and four mobile phones were also seized from the house.
Police have registered a case and further investigation was on.
