Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Wednesday arrested a woman on charges of looting a youth after asking him for a lift.
At PMG Square, the accused asked Saroj Sahu, a resident of Jaydev Vihar, for a lift on his motorcycle till Market Building and he agreed. However, she asked the youth to stop the bike mid-way and looted a cell phone and Rs 2, 500 from him, reports said.
Soon after the incident, the victim lodged a police complaint. Police immediately swung into action and managed to nab the accused. The stolen items were recovered from her possession.
