Cuttack: A 36-year-old woman has been hospitalised with severe burns after she was attacked with acid at Nuapatna village in Odisha’s Cuttack district.
The woman has been identified as Rina Sahu. She was rushed to the Tigiria Community Health Centre (CHC), from where she was shifted to the SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack. She has sustained over 50% burns.
According to reports, four miscreants attacked her with acid at around 4 am on Wednesday at her house allegedly over non-repayment of a loan she had taken.
Police said the attackers would be arrested soon.
