Rourkela: A woman attempted suicide by setting herself on fire at Budhajharia village under Lefripada police limits in Sundargarh district on Sunday.
The victim’s husband, who attempted to prevent her from taking the extreme step, also sustained serious burn injuries. Their one and half year-old son was also reportedly injured in the incident.
Luckily, all the three were saved by their neighbours and admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
The woman poured kerosene and set herself on fire, in the wake of a quarrel with her mother-in-law, a local resident said.
