Woman Banker & Daughter Found Dead In Odisha’s Cuttack City

Cuttack: A woman employee of a nationalised bank and her daughter were found dead in a house in the city on Friday.

According to police sources, the neighbour of the woman, identified as Banasmita Ojha, sensed trouble when they did not hear any sound from inside her house in the State Bank Colony at Shelter Chhak under Bidanasi police limits on the day.

When the locals broke open the door of the house, they found Banasmita hanging and the body of her baby lying with grievous injury marks. They informed Bidanasi police who reached the spot and started an investigation.

Police said the cause of death of both mother and baby can be ascertained after getting the post-mortem report.

The sources said Banasmita is an employee of State Bank of India (SBI) and her husband is an engineer by profession and stays with the family.
