Baripada: A youth was severely thrashed by a woman for allegedly misbehaving with her near Gandhi Park here on Sunday evening.
According to the complaint lodged by the woman, four youths stalked and passed lewd comments at her near Library Square while she was going to the park with her children.
The woman managed to catch hold of one of them and beat him up black and blue.
Later, Baripada Town police took the accused to the police station. The three others managed to flee the spot.
“A woman had come to the Gandhi Park with her children. Some youths followed her and allegedly misbehaved with her near Library Square. The woman has lodged a complaint regarding the incident with us. One of the accused, identified as Gobinda Singh, has been arrested,” said IIC of Baripada Town police station Ashok Kumar Nayak.
