Bhubaneswar: Trouble seems to be mounting for senior BJD leader and former Odisha Minister Srikanta Sahu with a woman party colleague lodging a fresh complaint against him at Mahila Police Station in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The woman leader, identified as Sanjukta Mahala, had earlier lodged a police complaint in April making allegations of physical and mental harassment against Sahu, who is MLA from Polasara.
It may be recalled that Sahu was removed from the Ministry in May after the woman BJD leader brought allegations against him in her complaint.
In her fresh complaint, she accused the ex-minister of engaging anti-social elements to harass her and sought police protection.
Claiming that there was threat to her life, the woman demanded police protection. Mahala further said that she will approach Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik if she fails to get justice.
She further accused Sahu of using her family members as pawns against her as she has no relationship with her family for the last seven years.
Accusing Sahu of having betrayed her after being in a relationship with her for nine years, she alleged that the former Minister mentally and physically tortured her and is giving her life threats.
Srikanta Sahu was not immediately available for comment.
