Puri: From housewife to body builder, it has been an inspirational journey for a young woman from Odisha’s seaside pilgrim town of Puri who sparkled at a prestigious national event.

Setting an example for the young generation, woman body builder Madhusmita Rath presented a dazzling show at the IFA Classic event held recently at Guwahati in Assam by winning titles in three categories.

Apart from discharging her responsibility as a wife and a home maker with sincerity, Madhusmita has been working hard to carve a special identity in the field of body building and fitness.

Joyed over her achievement at the IFA Classic event organised by the World Fitness Federation (WFF), she expressed the desire to continue the hard work with an aim to bag international awards in the future.

Encouraged and inspired by her body builder husband after she attained motherhood, Madhusmita not only undertakes rigorous workout to stay slim and fit but also runs a gymnasium and trains young girls at Puri.

Madhusmita’s husband also feels proud of her extraordinary success at the national event after she won several awards and medals inside the state. He is of the view that other women can also follow the path adopted by Madhusmita to maintain good health and physique.

For her, it has been a happy journey in the challenging area as she enjoyed the full support of her family members, including her father-in-law and mother-in-law who are also proud of her success.

While her in-laws have constructed a building for the gym, husband has provided modern equipment and facilities.

Madhusmita’s daughter also did not lag behind. While practising gymnastics, she does rigorous exercise regularly to keep her fit with an ambition to achiee excellence.

In a nutshell, the entire family seems to have emerged as an example for others to emulate.
