Woman ‘Burnt Alive’ Inside House In Odisha’s Balasore

Jaleswar: A woman was allegedly charred to death inside a closed room of her house at Rasalpur village under Bhograi police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday.

According to sources, the villagers found Archana Behera (28) crying for help from inside the house completely engulfed by fire around 7 am. hograi police and fire brigade team reached the spot on being informed by the villagers. The fire was brought under control and the body was recovered.

The deceased was the wife of Bhaskar Behera of the village. The duo reportedly got into a quarrel after their two sons left for school. He has been absconding since the incident.

While police have initiated a probe, it still not clear whether Archana had set herself on fire or it was the doing of her husband.
