Woman Burnt To Death By Husband in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In a gruesome incident, a woman died after being allegedly set on fire by her husband at Patadei slum located in Mancheswar here late on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Sukanti Sandil.

Sukanti’s body was recovered from her house and sent to Capital Hospital for post-mortem.

According to locals of the area, the accused, Bibhisan Sandil, used to torture and mentally harass his wife on a daily basis. He allegedly doused the woman with kerosene and set her ablaze.

The accused has been arrested by police and interrogation is on.
