Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly stabbed by a food delivery boy at her house in Bhubaneswar after she reportedly questioned him about the delay in getting the parcel.
The victim, identified as Binodini Rath of Sampur area, sustained critical injury in the brutal attack.
Locals said an argument broke out between the two over the delayed delivery. The situation turned ugly when the delivery boy became violent and attacked the woman with a sharp weapon before fleeing.
The woman, who sustained deep injuries to her head, arms, and back, was immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment.
After getting information about the incident, a police team visited the spot and launched a thorough investigation.
CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed, and a case has been registered. The identity of the delivery boy was being verified. Investigation is underway.
