Puri: A woman sustained serious burn injuries in a fire mishap at Bidurbank under Brahmagiri police limits in Puri on Tuesday.
According to sources, the incident took place when the woman was at home. She could not rush out as the entire house suddenly went up in flames.
On being informed, fire personnel reached the spot and doused the flames. They then rescued the woman and rushed her to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.
The identity of the woman and cause behind the fire mishap are yet to be ascertained.
