Woman, Daughter Jump Into Cuttack’s Kathjodi River In Suicide Attempt

Bhubaneswar: A woman and her daughter reportedly tried to commit suicide by jumping from the bridge at Trisulia over the Kathjodi river in Cuttack on Wednesday.

According to an eye-witness, the woman and her daughter came on a two-wheeler in the afternoon, parked the vehicle on the bridge and jumped into the river whose water level had gone up due to overnight rain.

On being informed, Fire personnel reached the spot and launched a search operation. Both mother and daughter were rescued after an hour-long operation, sources said.
