Sundargarh: A woman died on Tuesday after she was attacked by a swarm of bees inside a forest in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.
The deceased has been identified as Sumi Munda of Dhukamunda village under Mahulpadar police limits.
According to sources, the woman had gone into the forest near her village on Monday when she was attacked by a swarm of wild bees. She was rescued by villagers and taken to the sub-divisional hospital at Bonai in critical condition. She, however, succumbed to the grievous injuries this morning during treatment at the hospital.
After getting information, a police team reached the site and launched a probe into the incident.
