Sources said the incident took place at Godisahi of Barasingha village under the jurisdiction of Baranga police station on Saturday night when Govardhan Rout (65) allegedly poured petrol on his son Dinabandhu and daughter-in-law Sasmita and set them afire.
The gruesome incident is stated to be the fallout of some dispute over rent money.
