Udala: A woman died after delivering a baby at Udala hospital in Mayurbhanj district on Saturday.
The deceased hailing from Padmapokhari village was admitted to the hospital after her labour pains started. However, soon after delivery, her condition deteriorated and she died.
Irked over this, the family members had a heated argument with the hospital staff.
According to the attendants, she died due to negligence as there were no doctors at the hospital to treat her. They also alleged that the nurses and other staff on duty failed to provide her treatment despite repeated requests.
