Woman Dies After Falling Into Septic Tank While Plucking Flowers In Odisha’s Cuttack City

Cuttack: A 60-year-old woman died after falling into a septic tank while plucking flowers in Jobra area of Odisha’s Cuttack city on Friday

The deceased has been identified as Jayanti Rout.

According to reports, the accidental death took place when the woman fell into unused septic tank after the slab on which she was standing caved in while collecting flowers from a tree behind her house around 5 am. A heap of peddles kept near the spot fell on her, leaving the victim unconscious.

On being informed, Fire Services personnel from Chauliaganj rushed to the spot and rescued her. She was rushed to the SCB Medical College & Hospital, but  doctors there declared her dead.
