Bhubaneswar: The first dengue death has been reported in the state capital this season with the death of a woman at a private hospital on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Pratima Das of the BDA Colony area in Chandrasekharpur.
The husband and nephew of the deceased woman told the media that the death of the patient was due to dengue.
They said the deceased and her sister-in-law were admitted to the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) two days ago after they were tested positive.
The condition of the sister-in-law is stable, hospital sources said.
