Woman Dies, Husband Critical In Truck-Bike Crash In Odisha’s Namapara

Bhubaneswar:  A speeding truck crushed a woman to death at Nimapara’s Ratilo Chhak in Odisha’s Puri district. on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjukta Lenka (58).

According to sources, the accident took place Sanjukta was riding pillion with her husband on a two-wheeler from Paiksahi to Nimapara. The woman, who worked as an Anganwadi supervisor, died on the spot, while her husband was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.

Though angry locals detained the truck and staged a protest, the driver managed to flee, the sources added.
