Nayagarh: A woman died and her minor daughter sustained critical injuries as an LPG cylinder in their house exploded in the district on Tuesday.
According to sources, while the woman was cooking in the kitchen of her house at Biridi village, the cylinder exploded and fire engulfed her. As her husband and minor daughter rushed to her rescue, they also sustained fire injuries.
While the woman died on the spot, the girl was critically injured. On being informed, police and Fire personnel rushed to the spot, doused the flame and admitted the injured in the hospital.
