Woman Dies, Son & Daughter-In-Law Critical After Murderous Attack In Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: Miscreants alleged hacked a woman to death at Ogarpur village under Balikuda block in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district late on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Mania Biswal. She died on the spot.

Her son Rakesh and daughter in-law Subhadra also suffered critical injuries in the attack. They were initially rushed to Baliguda Community Health Centre and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Sources said that Rakesh and Subhadra had tied the knot against the wishes her family, a few months back. It is being suspected that her family might have orchestrated the murderous attack.

Meanwhile, police have seized the body for postmortem and initiated an investigation.
