Sundargarh: A woman doctor has brought allegation of sexual harassment against the ADMO in Odisha’s Sundargarh, prompting the district administration to initiate a probe.
As per reports, the woman doctor has lodged a complaint against ADMO Prakash Bal at the Sundargarh Town police station accusing him of sexually harassing her.
She alleged that the ADMO used to call her to his chamber and touch her inappropriately. It was further alleged that Bal once entered the rest room while she was present there and misbehaved with her after closing the door.
Bal was also accused of misbehaving with other women doctors and nurses of the hospital.
Following her complaint, the district administration has also launched a probe into the allegation by constituting a committee.
Police have also registered a case and launched an investigation into the allegation.
ADMO Bal, however, refuted the allegation against him as false and baseless. He claimed that doctors are not performing their duty properly and are resorting to filing complaint when they are asked to be sincere in their work.
