Angul: The Excise officials on Wednesday nabbed a woman drug peddler who has been eluding arrest for a long time.
According to sources, the woman, identified as Kuni Sahu of Girang area under Nalco Nagar police station, has been peddling brown sugar in the town. But neither police nor Excise officials were able to trace her.
However, on the direction of district collector Siddharth Shankar Swain on the day, a team of Excise officials conducted a raid in Girang and nabbed Kuni while she was selling the contraband.
The team also seized 10 gram of brown sugar and Rs 37,100 in cash from the possession of the accused. Later, they forwarded her to court.
