Rourkela: The Plant Site Police on Monday arrested a woman drug peddler. Police seized brown sugar worth Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1.66 lakh cash from her possession.
The arrested has been identified as Narisha Khatun.
Acting on a tip-off, a special team of Plant Site police station raided Minapada area and seized the contraband and cash from Khatun’s residence.
Rourkela DSP Pradyumna Kumar Mishra informed that police raided the area following an intelligence input regarding a drug racket operating in the periphery of the plant area. Efforts are on to arrest six absconding members of the racket, he added.
