Paradip: A woman allegedly committed suicide after killing her five-year-old son at Sunthala village under Nuagaon police limits in Jagatsinghpur district on Saturday.
According to available information, the woman strangulated her son to death over a family dispute and then committed suicide. The family members reportedly cremated them without informing the police.
On being informed by neighbours, police rushed to the spot and started inquiry into the deaths. Locals said that the woman was mentally challenged and used to quarrel with her son and other members of the family over petty issues.
