Paradip: A woman tragically lost her life after allegedly falling from the terrace of a four-storey building at Tarinigada in Odisha’s Paradip.
Her body without any clothes was found early Monday morning.
According to sources, the clothes were found hanging on a gas pipeline along the exterior wall midway down the building, which is under construction, adding to the mystery surroundin
g the fall, which is believed to have occurred late Sunday night or in the early hours of Monday. Neither the owner of the building nor anyone in the neighbourhood has been able to identify the deceased.
On being informed, a team from Paradeep Adarsh police station, along with the IIC, reached the spot and seized the body for postmortem. A pair of slippers, a mosquito coil, cigarettes and empty khaini sachets were found on the terrace. A probe has been launched examining all possible angles, including accidental slip, death by suicide or murder. Seven young men, who reside in one of the rooms in the building, are being questioned. Police have also seized CCTV and hard disk from the building.
Locals suspect that she might have been raped and then pushed down from the building.
