Cuttack: Even as the Odisha government has ordered judicial probe into the alleged custody assault of an Army officer and his fiancée in a police station in Bhubaneswar, a woman has filed a complaint against some police personnel for misbehaving with her in Cuttack.
The woman in her police complaint stated that while she was standing with her family in front of her house at Sankhatras under Cuttack Sadar police station on Sunday, a PCR van came there. The police asked her about the location of a person’s house in the area.
After she gave them the direction, some police personnel went there, while the PCR van remained parked in front of her house. The police personnel in the van started talking in foul language and drinking liquor, the woman said in the complaint.
When she objected to their drinking and told them to move the van from there, an argument ensued. The policemen not only scolded the woman in foul language but also threatened her of dire consequences.
Later, the woman lodged a complaint at Cuttack Sadar police station citing the incident. The police have registered a case and started investigation, the sources said.
