Bhadrak: Weeks after her mother was found dead, a woman in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Saturday alleged that she was abducted, raped and killed by some miscreants and the body later dumped on rail tracks.
The woman, Sasmita Sahu of Chhe village, has lodged a complaint with Bhadrak SP, seeking an impartial probe and stern action against the accused.
She further alleged that the miscreants later threatened her father Debendra Das and forcibly took his signature on a piece of paper. She also claimed that some miscreants had earlier burnt her sister to death.
The deceased, identified as Tuni Das, was found dead on railway tracks on February 23. After seizing the body, police had registered a case of unnatural death and begun conducting a probe.
