Bhubaneswar: A woman was found hanging inside her house at Bhagabat Sandhan colony’s Shanti Niwas under Mancheswar police limits in Rasulgarh area of Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Pragyan Paramita (33).
According to sources, the woman along with her family had attended a feast at their neighbour’s house on Wednesday night. It is being suspected that she might have taken the extreme step, suspecting her husband of having an extramarital affair.
Meanwhile, Mancheswar police have recovered the body and detained her husband for questioning. Further probe is on.
This comes close on the heels of another incident at Sailashree Vihar under Chandrasekharpur police limits in the capital city where a woman software engineer, identified as Sweta Utkal Kumari, was found hanging in a rented house. She was working as Technology Analyst with Infosys here for the past one year.
