Bhadrak: A woman of Rahania village under Bhandaripokhari police limits in Odisha’s Bhadrak district was allegedly gang raped by two miscreants during Mahashivratri late on Friday.
According to sources, the woman had gone to a Shiv temple, on the outskirts of the village, to offer prayer. The duo forcibly took her to an abandoned house while she was returning home after the ‘Mahadeepa’ was raised atop the temple around 11 pm and took turns to rape her.
Locals soon reached the spot on hearing her scream and shout for help.
The seriously injured woman was later admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Bhandaripokhari.
Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits on the basis of a complaint lodged by her family member.
