Woman gang-raped in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A woman was allegedly gang-raped at Chandiposa in Sundargarh district on Monday.

She was later admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital and her condition is stated to be critical.

According to a complaint lodged by the survivour at Chandiposa police station, a group of unidentified miscreants barged into her house when she was alone, took turns to rape her and fled the spot.

Police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.

In a separate incident, police in Keonjhar district arrested three persons, including the main accused, for their alleged involvement in the gang rape of a girl at Badaghagra on September 27. Two persons were earlier arrested in connection with the case.
