Sambalpur: A woman was arrested from Dhanupali area in Sambalpur for her alleged involvement in a ganja smuggling racket.
The police arrested the woman, identified as Padmini Kushawala, whereas her husband Dasraj Khuswa managed to flee.
According to sources, the couple was involved in transporting ganja from Boudh to Madhya Pradesh. On being informed, a team of police conducted a raid on Tuesday and seized Rs 1.7 lakh and six kg of ganja from her possession.
Further investigation is underway.
