Baripada: A woman of Shingada village under Shulipada block in Mayurbhanj district has given birth to quadruplets.
The woman identified as Jhunu Rani Dhal (20) delivered three girls and a boy at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital in the district at around 1.18 pm on Tuesday.
It was a normal delivery and the four babies weighed around 680 gm, 580 gm, 730 gm and 900 gm respectively.
The deliveries, however, were pre-mature since she was at the end of the seventh month of pregnancy.
The health condition of the woman and her babies is stated to be good, doctors at the hospital said.
