Woman ‘Hacked To Death’ By Sons In Sundargarh

Rourkela: A woman was allegedly hacked to death by her two sons at Baragada village under Sadar police limits in Sundargarh district late on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Pikeswari Kisan.

According to sources, the accused duo identified as Naveen Kisan (30) and Bipin Kisan (28) had a verbal fight with their mother after she refused to give them her allowance amount of Rs 400.

In a fit rage, the two allegedly beat her up with a lathi and then picked up an axe and attacked her with it. She died on the spot.

The accused persons have been detained by police for interrogation.

Every month, they used to take away their mother’s old-age allowance, the sources added.
