Sundargarh: A woman allegedly hacked her husband to death at Bahiaam village under Rajgangpur police limits in Sundargarh district late on Sunday.
According to locals, the woman, identified as Sisika Giro (42), hacked her husband to death with an axe after enduring years of physical abuse.
The deceased, Joseph Giro (46), was a habitual boozer. On Sunday night, he came home in a drunken state and attacked her with an axe. Sisika snatched the sharp weapon from her husband and hit him on the head. He died on the spot, police sources said.
