Woman hacks mother-in-law to death in Nuapada

Nuapada: A woman allegedly hacked her mother-in-law to death at Duajhar village in Nuapada district late on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Gunamati Meher.

According to available information, Gunamati had a heated argument with her daughter-in-law Milli Mallick over some domestic dispute. Following which, Milli in a fit of rage attacked her with an axe on the head, killing her on the spot.

The accused woman later confessed to the crime and surrendered before Kharial police.

Further investigation is on.
