Bhubaneswar: Cockroach omelette! How repulsive does that sound?
Imagine the plight of the Air India passenger who almost ate it, and shared with her 2-year old child.
Sharing her horrendous experience on the Delhi-New York Air India flight, journalist Suyesha Savant said that she and her two-year old had finished almost half of the omelette before discovering the cockroach in it.
Though the incident took place on September 17 on AI-101, operating from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport to JFK airport, Suyesha took to social media platform X on Saturday to post the incident.
“My 2 year old finished more than half of it with me when we found this. Suffered from food poisoning as a result,” she wrote, tagging Air India, aviation regulator DGCA and Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu in her post.
Responding to the viral post, an Air India spokesperson said, “We are aware of a social media post by a passenger regarding a foreign object in the onboard meal offered to them on AI 101 operating from DEL to JFK on 17 September 2024.”
“We will take necessary actions to prevent any recurrence of such instances in future,” added the spokesperson.
