Woman Hires Hitman To Kill Daughter, Gets Murdered Instead

Lucknow: Embarrassed and fed-up with her minor daughter’s love affair, 36-year old Alka Devi hired a hitman to kill her. But destiny had something else in store for her.

The hitman, 38-year-old Subhash Singh, turned out to be her daughter’s lover. Giving a twist to the contract murder, he killed Alka instead of her daughter.

According to a NDTV report, Alka had offered to pay Rs 50,000 to Subhash, the hitman, for killing her daughter after learning about her love affair from her uncle.

However, Subhash, who was in a relationship with Alka’s daughter, revealed the plan to the minor girl, who in turn proposed to marry him if he killed her mother.

When Alka didn’t return home till late evening, her husband Ramakant tried calling her, but her phone was switched off. When he started looking for her, he got a call from police station for identifying a dead body.

Police recovered Alka’s body from a millet field in Etah district, Uttar Pradesh.

Subhash and Alka’s daughter confessed the crime before police.

“The investigation revealed that Alka was furious with her daughter for her misconduct and elopement, leading her to plot her daughter’s murder through a hired killer. The hired killer, unknown to Alka, was another lover of her daughter. Together, they strangled Alka to death and disposed of her body in a millet field,” said Station House Officer (SHO) of the Jasrathpur police station Om Prakash Singh, as quoted by PTI.

Subhash was the girl’s second lover. A couple of months back, the girl had eloped with a boy from her locality. After bringing her back home, Alka had sent the minor to her uncle’s place expecting a change in her behaviour.

The contract killer Subhash had earlier served a 10-year sentence in jail in a rape case.
