Woman injured in croc attack at Kendrapada village

Kendrapada: A woman sustained injuries after being attacked by a crocodile at Gupti under Rajnagar block in Kendrapada district on Friday.

The woman was identified as Bhabani, wife of Bhaba Singh Manual of Debendra Narayanpur in the district.

The incident took place when the victim had gone to a nearby field to graze her cattle. The crocodile suddenly appeared while she was crossing a canal and tried to drag her into the water.

Hearing her scream, some locals rushed to the spot and rescued her in a critical condition. She was admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
