New Delhi: Traffic on a section of Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line was affected on Monday after body of a woman was found on the tracks of GTB Nagar Metro Station.
The Yellow Line connects Samayapur Badli in Delhi with Huda City Centre in Gurgaon.
The deceased, identified as Aisa Khan, allegedly committed suicide by throwing herself in front of a moving train on platform number 2 of the metro station this morning, police said.
A resident of Roshanara Garden at Shakti Nagar, she was rushed to Bara Hindu Rao hospital but was declared dead on arrival. While no suicide note was found, police recovered a mobile number from her purse.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted: “Delay in service between Samaypur Badli and Vishwavidyalaya on Yellow Line due to a passenger on track at GTB Nagar. Normal service on all other lines.”
The operations, however, were resumed after a few minutes.
