Puri: A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped by a woman in her car in Odisha’s Puri on Wednesday.
As per the police complaint filed by the girl’s father, the woman came to his shop in her car in the evening and asked him to give some green coconuts. While he was busy cutting and packing the coconuts, the woman took his three-year-old daughter playing nearby to her car and sped away.
The man, who earns livelihood by selling green coconuts on at Marine Drive, did not recognise the woman nor noted down the registration number of her car.
After he filed the complaint at Baliapanda police station, a case has been registered. The police have started investigation and collected the footage from CCTV in the area, the sources said.
