Bhubaneswar: A woman was killed and two others sustained critical injuries after a head-on collision between their motorcycle and a car in Gop area of Odisha’s Puri district on Thursday.
As per preliminary information, the mishap took place on Konark-Pipili road near Bayakuda village under Gop area when three persons, including two women, were travelling on the bike in the morning.
The deceased has been identified as Renu Behera of Badamathha village. Two others, Ranjita Behera and the bike rider, were critically injured in the mishap. They were rescued by locals and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A team of police personnel visited the site and launched an investigation into the incident.
